What is a Farm Share?
Farm Share, also known as Community supported Agriculture or CSA, is a program that allows customers to get more bang for their buck while supporting their local farmer. Farm Shares are purchased in advance, before the season ever starts, to help the farmer pay for their very high costs in the spring. In return, customers receive a far better value for their money through discounts and additional farm credit.
We offer two types of Shares: a Box Share and a Market Share. Each comes with a unique set of advantages to consider when deciding which is right for you.
Box (Delivery) Share: With a Box Share, your household receives a weekly, farmer curated box of assorted in-season vegetables. These boxes can range anywhere from $20 to $40 in value depending on the size of your share. You can choose either a Tuesday (5pm-8pm) delivery time or a Saturday (12pm-4pm) delivery time. We strongly suggest someone is home to receive the box upon delivery. Generally, this option gives you the most bang for your buck and is also convenient if our market is out of your way.
Market Share: The other, more flexible option is the Market Share. With this, customers receive a credit (averaging 10% in addition to what they paid) that can be used anytime at our farmers market. This option is preferable to those who would rather control what crops they receive on their own time.
