Farm Share Policy

Contract

By signing up for our Farm Share, you agree to participate in the entire 30-week season, running from May through November.

Missed Pick-Ups

We do not offer retroactive refunds for missed pick-ups. Any unclaimed shares will be donated. If you know you will be unable to pick up your share, we require at least one week's notice to issue a refund.

Vacation or Absence

If you have a vacation or will be unavailable for your pick-up or delivery, please notify us as far in advance as possible. With at least one week's notice, we can issue a refund or cancel that week's share at no charge. If we do not receive advance notice, we cannot provide a refund for missed deliveries.

Quality Issues

If there is an issue with your share or produce, please provide a detailed description and photo of the problem within five days of receiving your share. Refunds may be issued based on the information provided.

Delivery Location Changes and Account Holds

You may change your delivery location or place your account on hold with at least one week's notice prior to your delivery date.

Adding Items to Your Order

Additional items can be added to your order anytime before 12:00 PM on the day prior to your delivery.

 FAQs

  • Community Shared Agriculture (or CSA) is a model that connects people directly with farmers. CSA was created in response to a globalized food economy to provide consumers with the ability to secure local food and develop relationships with the people and places that produce that food. This also helps finance the farm for the season

  • Organic:  foods grown without artificial pesticides or fertilizers. In other uses, organic refers to living things or material that comes from living things. Things that are naturally grown and preserved by nature​

    IPM (integrated Pest Management):  broad-based approach that integrates both chemical and non-chemical practices for economic control of pests. IPM Selects pesticides that are effective, economical and least disruptive to the production system.

  • Our CSA program is a mix of organic and IPM produce. We have a unique, collaborative program where we work with local NJ and PA farms. We believe in supporting our local farmers, reducing carbon emissions from shipping in only organic produce, and building the community we have right here!

  • Yes! Our farm is certified organic as well as all produce grown and harvested from our farm.

  • Our CSA will always be a mix of organic and IPM. If you are looking for a strictly organic CSA, we may not be the program for you. However, we encourage you to join a CSA that is more suited to your preferences!

  • Absolutely! We encourage ALL our members to stop by the farm, get to know our team, partake in PYO, and see what we do at Fairgrown!

  • You can recycle them or leave them out where you receive your weekly delivery and one of our team members will collect them for you.
